Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the nearest major highway. From Worcester, take I-90 E (Massachusetts Turnpike) toward Boston. After approximately 25 miles, take exit 13 for I-495 N toward Marlborough. Continue on I-495 N for about 10 miles and take exit 22 for MA-135 E toward Ashland. Turn left onto MA-135 E and continue for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto W Union St, and after about 0.3 miles, you will arrive at Ashland State Park, located at 156 W Union St, Ashland, MA 01721. Parking is available at the park. Note: There may be tolls on your route.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take the MBTA commuter rail. Start by boarding the Framingham/Worcester Line from Worcester or any station along the line heading toward South Station in Boston. Disembark at Ashland Station. From the station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Ashland State Park, which is about 3 miles away. Alternatively, you can check if there are local bus services that connect to the park, but these may have limited schedules. Be aware of the costs associated with the train fare and the taxi or rideshare service.
