Getting There

Walking
From the center of Gloucester, head towards the Gloucester Harbor. Follow the signs to the nearest MBTA train station, which is the Gloucester Station. Once you arrive at Gloucester Station, take the commuter rail towards North Station in Boston. After about an hour's ride, disembark at the North Station. From North Station, walk towards the Government Center T station and take the Green Line (C or E train) towards Lechmere. At Park Street, transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont. Ride until you reach South Station, then follow the signs to the Silver Line, which will take you to the South Boston Waterfront area. Get off at the Courthouse stop, and from there, it's a short 5-minute walk to 308 Congress St, where the Boston Children's Museum is located.

Public Transit
Start from the downtown Gloucester area and make your way to the nearest bus stop that services the MBTA bus lines. Take the #465 bus towards the Alewife station. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at Alewife to the Red Line towards Ashmont. After about an hour, get off at South Station. From South Station, you can catch the Silver Line bus (SL1) towards the South Boston Waterfront. Disembark at the Courthouse stop. From there, the Boston Children's Museum is just a short walk down Congress St.
