Whimsical Fun at the Boston Common Carousel

Walking

From the center of Gloucester, head south on Washington Street toward Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street and follow it until you reach the train station. Take the MBTA commuter rail from Gloucester Station toward Boston. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, transfer to the Orange Line subway heading toward Oak Grove. Get off at Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, it's a 10-minute walk: head east on Blackstone Street, turn left on Hanover Street, and then turn right onto Beacon Street. The Boston Common Carousel will be on your left at 45 Beacon St.

Bus

Start at the Gloucester bus terminal and take the Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) bus route 451 toward Salem. Get off at the last stop in Salem, then transfer to the MBTA Commuter Rail at the Salem station heading toward Boston. After arriving at North Station in Boston, switch to the Orange Line subway towards Oak Grove. Disembark at Haymarket Station, then walk east on Blackstone Street, turn left on Hanover Street, and right onto Beacon Street. The Boston Common Carousel will be located at 45 Beacon St.

If you prefer a more direct option, you can use a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter '45 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02108' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the carousel, making it a convenient option, especially if you are traveling with a group or have luggage.
