Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Gloucester, head south on Washington Street toward the waterfront. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and follow it until you reach the Gloucester Harbor area. Once you reach the harbor, you can catch a ferry to Boston. Upon arrival in Boston, head towards Downtown Crossing by following the signs or asking locals for directions, which is a short walk from the ferry terminal.

  • Bus

    From the center of Gloucester, walk to the nearest bus stop on Washington Street. Take the MBTA bus route 441 or 450 towards the Alewife station. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes until you reach the Alewife station. From there, transfer to the Red Line subway heading towards Ashmont/Braintree. Get off at the Downtown Crossing station. Follow the signs to exit the station, and you will be in the Downtown Crossing area of Boston.

  • Train

    Walk to the Gloucester MBTA station located on Railroad Avenue. Purchase a ticket for the commuter rail to North Station in Boston. The train ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the station and walk towards the Haymarket area. From there, follow signs to the Orange Line subway and take it to the Haymarket stop. Exit the subway and walk towards Downtown Crossing, which is a short distance away.
