Begin your journey at the Gloucester Harbor, located at 1 Harbor Loop, Gloucester, MA. From here, head southeast on Harbor Loop toward the intersection with Western Avenue. Continue straight on Western Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East Main Street. Turn right onto East Main Street and walk for about 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with Eastern Point Boulevard. Turn left onto Eastern Point Boulevard and continue straight. Follow Eastern Point Boulevard for approximately 1 mile, enjoying the scenic views of the harbor and the coastline. As you walk, you will pass by private homes and the Eastern Point Yacht Club. Eventually, you will arrive at the Eastern Point Lighthouse, which will be on your left. The lighthouse is located at the end of a small path, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Biking
Start your biking adventure at the Gloucester Harbor. Cycle along Harbor Loop and take a right onto Western Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles and then turn right onto East Main Street. After about 0.4 miles, take a left onto Eastern Point Boulevard. Biking along this road will offer you beautiful coastal views. Follow Eastern Point Boulevard for approximately 1 mile until you reach Eastern Point Lighthouse. There may be limited bike parking near the lighthouse, so be mindful of where you secure your bike.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, begin at the Gloucester MBTA Station. Take the Cape Ann Transportation Authority bus route that goes to Eastern Point, which is typically available during peak tourist seasons. Check the local schedule for exact times. The bus will take you toward Eastern Point Boulevard. Disembark at the closest stop to the lighthouse, and from there it's a short walk (approximately 0.2 miles) to the Eastern Point Lighthouse itself. Follow the signs directing you towards the lighthouse.
