Public Bus
From Gloucester, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the MBTA bus route 450 towards Haymarket. Stay on the bus for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until you reach the Haymarket station in Boston. From Haymarket, transfer to the Orange Line (the subway) and head towards Forest Hills. Get off at the Roxbury Crossing station. From there, it's a short walk to Franklin Park Zoo: exit the station, head southeast on Washington Street, turn left onto Franklin Park Road, and the zoo entrance will be on your right.

Train
Make your way to the Gloucester MBTA train station. Board the train headed towards North Station (typically the Rockport Line). The train ride will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, walk to the Haymarket subway station and transfer to the Orange Line. Take the Orange Line towards Forest Hills and get off at Roxbury Crossing. From there, exit the station, head southeast on Washington Street, turn left onto Franklin Park Road, and you will find the Franklin Park Zoo entrance on your right.
