    If you are in downtown Gloucester, start at the Cape Ann Museum located at 27 Pleasant St. Walk southwest on Pleasant St towards the intersection with Washington St. Turn right onto Washington St and continue until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn left onto Main St and follow it until you reach the waterfront. From there, head south along the waterfront, taking in the views of the harbor. Continue walking until you reach the Gloucester Fishermen's Memorial. From the memorial, head east along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with the Boulevard. Turn left onto the Boulevard and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Eastern Ave. Turn right onto Eastern Ave, then continue until you reach the intersection with Washington St. Turn left onto Washington St and follow it to where it meets Beacon St. Turn right onto Beacon St, and the Gibson House Museum, located at 137 Beacon St, will be on your right.

    Public Transit

    If you prefer to take public transportation, start from the Gloucester MBTA Station. Board the commuter rail heading towards Boston. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, transfer to the Green Line (C or D branch) at Government Center Station. Take the Green Line towards Kenmore. Get off at the Copley Station. From Copley Station, exit onto Boylston St and walk towards the Boston Public Library. From the library, head south on Dartmouth St until you reach the intersection with Beacon St. Turn left onto Beacon St and walk until you reach 137 Beacon St, where the Gibson House Museum is located.
