Walking
From the Gloucester Visitor Center located at 24 Harbor Loop, begin by walking south on Harbor Loop. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach the train station. From there, you can take the MBTA Commuter Rail towards Boston. Once you arrive at South Station in Boston, exit the station and head towards Atlantic Avenue. From there, walk to the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Summer Street, where you can catch the #7 bus towards South Boston. Get off at the stop at E 8th Street. Walk a short distance to the east, and you will find L Street Tavern at 658 E 8th St.

Start at the Gloucester Visitor Center (24 Harbor Loop). Walk to the nearest bus stop and take the #67 bus towards the Alewife Station. Get off at the Alewife station and transfer to the Alewife to South Station train. After arriving at South Station, follow the signs to the Silver Line Bus. Take the SL1 to the World Trade Center, and then transfer to the #9 bus towards E 8th Street. Disembark at the E 8th Street stop, and walk a short distance to find L Street Tavern located at 658 E 8th St.
