Walking
If you are in central Gloucester, start your journey by heading towards the nearest bus stop. Take the MBTA bus number 67 or 66 towards Boston. The bus will take you to the Alewife Station. From Alewife Station, transfer to the Alewife subway line (Red Line) towards Ashmont. Ride until you reach Park Street Station, then transfer to the Green Line (C or D train) towards Government Center. Get off at the Government Center Station and follow the signs for the State House. It's about a 10-minute walk from there: exit the station, head left onto Tremont Street, then turn right onto Beacon Street. The Massachusetts State House will be on your left at 24 Beacon Street.

Begin your trip at the Gloucester MBTA bus terminal. Board the bus line 67 or 66 towards Boston. After about an hour, you will arrive at Alewife Station. Here, switch to the Red Line subway towards Ashmont. Travel to Park Street Station. Once at Park Street, change to the Green Line (either C or D train) towards Government Center. Disembark at Government Center. From there, walk out of the station, turn left onto Tremont Street and then right on Beacon Street. The Massachusetts State House will be directly in front of you at 24 Beacon Street.
