From Gloucester, head to the nearest MBTA bus stop. Take the #451 bus towards Alewife Station. The bus will take you through several stops. Stay on the bus for about an hour until you reach Alewife Station. Once there, transfer to the Alewife subway station and board the Red Line train towards Ashmont. Travel for approximately 30 minutes and get off at Kendall/MIT Station. Exit the station and walk east on Main Street until you reach Massachusetts Avenue. Turn left and continue walking for about 5 minutes. The MIT Chapel will be on your right at 48 Massachusetts Ave.

From there, catch the #350 bus towards Alewife Station, which runs approximately every 30 minutes. Ride the bus for about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Alewife Station, transfer to the Red Line subway towards Ashmont. It will take about 30 minutes to reach Kendall/MIT Station. After exiting, walk east on Main Street, take a left on Massachusetts Avenue, and continue for about 5 minutes until you find the MIT Chapel at 48 Massachusetts Ave.
