Getting There

    Start from Gloucester's Main Street. Head south until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington Street and continue walking until you reach the Gloucester Harbor. From there, follow the waterfront path along the harbor to the train station. Once at the station, buy a ticket for a train to Boston. The train ride will take about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Boston's South Station, exit the station and head towards the Red Line subway. Take the Red Line towards Alewife and get off at the Park Street Station. At Park Street, transfer to the Green Line and take the train towards Government Center. Get off at the Government Center Station and follow signs for the State Street exit. Once outside, walk east on State Street until you reach Atlantic Avenue, then turn left. Continue walking straight until you reach Central Wharf. The New England Aquarium will be on your right at 1 Central Wharf.

    From Gloucester, walk to the Gloucester MBTA station. Purchase a ticket for the commuter rail heading towards Boston. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station in Boston, follow the signs to the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line (C or E branches) towards Lechmere and get off at the Aquarium Station. Exit the station and walk toward the water. The New England Aquarium is located at 1 Central Wharf, just a short walk from the station.
