Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the Gloucester train station, head south on Washington Street towards the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue straight until you reach the waterfront. From there, follow the signs leading to the Gloucester Harbor. Once you reach the harbor, you'll find the ferry terminal. Take a ferry to Boston, which will offer scenic views. Upon arriving at the Boston ferry terminal, exit and head towards the Government Center. Walk straight down State Street and take a right onto Congress Street. Continue walking until you reach City Hall Plaza at 1 City Hall Square.

• Public Transport

  From Gloucester, take the MBTA commuter rail from the Gloucester station towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, exit and follow the signs to the Orange Line subway. Take the Orange Line towards Oak Grove and get off at Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, walk east on Blackstone Street, then take a left onto Congress Street. Continue on Congress until you reach City Hall Plaza, located at 1 City Hall Square.

• Bicycle

  If you're renting a bicycle, start at the Gloucester waterfront and follow the scenic bike path towards the north. Make your way to the MBTA commuter rail station where you can bike to Boston. Once you arrive in Boston, follow the bike lanes towards City Hall Plaza. You can navigate using local bike maps or apps to find the best route to 1 City Hall Square.
