Walking
If you are in downtown Gloucester, head southeast on Main St toward Washington St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Eastern Ave. Turn right onto Eastern Ave and follow it until you reach the bus terminal at the end of the road. From the bus terminal, take the MBTA bus #450 towards Salem. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Salem Depot. Once you arrive at Salem Depot, exit the station and walk southwest on Washington St toward Derby St. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach 65 Derby St, where the Derby House is located.
Public Transport
From Gloucester, make your way to the Cape Ann Transportation Authority (CATA) bus terminal located at 1 Railway Ave. Take the CATA bus #11 towards Salem. The trip will take around 25 minutes. Once you arrive at the Salem Commons stop, transfer to the MBTA bus #450 towards Salem Depot. Travel for about 10 minutes and get off at the Derby St stop. The Derby House is located at 65 Derby St, just a short walk from the bus stop.
Biking
If you're up for a bike ride and have a rental, start from the Gloucester Harbor area. Head south on the Harbor Loop path until you reach the intersection with East Main St. Turn left onto East Main St and continue for about 2 miles until you reach the junction with Route 128. Carefully navigate the roundabout to merge onto Route 1A toward Salem. Continue biking for about 5 miles, then take a left onto Derby St. The Derby House will be located on your right at 65 Derby St.
