From Northampton, take I-91 N for about 16 miles. Take exit 26 for MA-2 W toward Greenfield. Continue on MA-2 W for approximately 22 miles. Take the exit toward Charlemont and turn left onto Charlemont Rd. After about 1.5 miles, turn right onto Thunder Mountain Rd where you'll find the Thunderbolt Mountain Coaster.
