Veterans Park Beach: A Tranquil Coastal Escape

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Hyannis, start by heading east on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ocean Street. Turn left onto Ocean Street and continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way, which can be a great opportunity to explore. As you approach 480 Ocean Street, keep an eye out for the Veterans Park Beach entrance on your right. The beach is located directly across from the parking area, and you will see a pathway leading down to the sand.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From anywhere in Hyannis, look for the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) buses. The bus stop closest to you will likely be on Main Street. Board a bus that is heading towards Hyannis Village or Ocean Street. Once you reach the stop near Ocean Street, disembark and walk eastward. The beach is located at 480 Ocean Street, just a short walk away. Follow the sidewalk until you reach the entrance to Veterans Park Beach.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, there are bike rental shops around Hyannis. Once you have your bike, head east on Main Street and then turn left onto Ocean Street. The ride is approximately 1 mile, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way. As you approach 480 Ocean Street, you will see signs for Veterans Park Beach. There are bike racks available for you to secure your bike once you arrive.
