Walking
If you're in downtown Lowell, start by heading towards the nearest bus stop that services the MBTA commuter rail. Board the train heading to Boston. Once you arrive at the North Station in Boston, exit the station and head towards the Haymarket area. From there, you can walk south along the Freedom Trail or through the Boston Public Market until you reach the intersection with Hanover Street. Turn left onto Hanover Street and continue until you reach the Government Center. At Government Center, take the Green Line subway train (C or E line) toward Lechmere. Alight at the Boylston stop. After exiting the subway, walk east on Boylston Street, then turn left onto Washington Street and continue until you reach Warrenton Street. Finally, turn right onto Warrenton Street, and you will find the Charles Playhouse at 74 Warrenton St.
Public Transit
From any location in Lowell, make your way to the Lowell MBTA train station. Purchase a ticket for the commuter rail to Boston. Once you arrive at South Station in Boston, follow the signs to the Red Line subway. Board the train heading towards Alewife. After 4 stops, get off at Park Street station. At Park Street, transfer to the Green Line, taking the C or E line towards Lechmere. Get off at the Boylston stop. After exiting the station, head east on Boylston Street, turn left onto Washington Street, and then right onto Warrenton Street. The Charles Playhouse will be on your right at 74 Warrenton St.
