Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Lowell, head south on Merrimack Street until you reach the intersection with Dutton Street. Turn left onto Dutton Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street and continue heading south. You will eventually reach the intersection with the Lowell Connector. Continue straight as Market Street becomes the Pawtucket Boulevard. Walk along the boulevard until you reach the intersection with the Billerica Road. Turn left onto Billerica Road and follow it until you reach the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. From there, you can take a bus or train to Boston. Once in Boston, head towards Bunker Hill and follow signs to Freedom Trail. City Square Park is located along the trail.

    From the Lowell Train Station, take the MBTA train towards Boston. After a 30-minute ride, get off at North Station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the Charles River. You can follow the signs to the Freedom Trail which will lead you to Bunker Hill. City Square Park is located right along the trail, just a short walk from the Bunker Hill Monument.

  • Bus

    Catch the LRTA bus #1 from the downtown Lowell bus terminal. This bus will take you directly to the Alewife station in Boston. Once you arrive at Alewife, transfer to the subway and take the Red Line towards Ashmont. Get off at Park Street and transfer to the Green Line. Exit at Haymarket station. From there, follow the signs to the Freedom Trail. City Square Park is located nearby, just a few blocks away from the trail.
