Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Lowell City Hall located at 375 Merrimack St, Lowell, MA 01852. Head south on Merrimack St towards Dutton St for about 0.3 miles. Turn right onto Dutton St and walk for about 0.1 miles until you reach the intersection with Bridge St. Turn left onto Bridge St and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will cross the Merrimack River and continue straight onto Pawtucket Blvd. Walk along Pawtucket Blvd for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Varnum Ave. Turn right onto Varnum Ave and continue for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to the park on your left.

    From the Lowell Transit Center (located at 100 Thorndike St, Lowell, MA 01852), take the LRTA bus route 3 towards the Dracut Park & Ride. Get off at the stop near Varnum Ave and Pawtucket Blvd. From there, walk along Varnum Ave for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to the Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsborough State Forest will be on your left.
