From downtown Lowell, walk to the nearest bus stop on Merrimack Street. Take the MBTA bus #350 towards Alewife. Get off at the Alewife station and transfer to the Red Line train towards Ashmont. Ride the train until you reach Park Street Station. From Park Street, exit and walk towards Boston Common. Continue walking to Charles Street, where you will find 'Make Way for Ducklings' at 4 Charles St.
Train
Walk from your location in Lowell to the Lowell Commuter Rail Station. Board the MBTA Commuter Rail towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, transfer to the Green Line subway towards Government Center. At Government Center, transfer to the Blue Line towards Bowdoin and get off at Park Street Station. If you are near the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center, start walking down Dutton Street towards Merrimack Street. Continue on Merrimack Street until you reach the bus station. From there, follow the bus directions above or, for a longer route, walk towards the Merrimack River. Cross the river using the pedestrian bridge, then navigate through the streets to catch a bus or train to reach Boston. Once in Boston, head to Charles Street as detailed above.
