    Start at the Lowell Visitor Center located at 246 Market Street. Head east on Market Street toward Central Street. Continue straight on Market Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Merrimack Street. Turn right onto Merrimack Street and walk for about 0.4 miles. You will pass by various shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for the Lowell Heritage State Park on your left. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Dutton Street. Merrimack Watershed is located nearby, around the area of the Merrimack River, which you can access by following signs to the riverfront.

  • Public Transportation

    From the Lowell T Station located at 200 M. E. O'Brien Highway, take the LRTA bus route 2 or 3 towards the downtown area. Get off at the Merrimack Street stop. From there, walk east on Merrimack Street for about 0.4 miles. You will pass several local shops and eateries. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Dutton Street.
