    From downtown Lowell, head south on Merrimack Street toward Central Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street and walk until you reach the intersection with the Lowell Connector. Cross over to the other side of the street to catch the bus.

    Take the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) bus route 1 from the downtown terminal. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop for the North Station. From there, transfer to the MBTA commuter rail service heading towards Salem. Make sure to check the schedule for the next available train to Salem.

    Train

    Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride to Salem. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the Salem station, exit the train and head east on Washington Street. Continue straight until you reach Chestnut Street, then turn left. The Phillips House will be located on your right at 34 Chestnut St.

    Walking

    If you prefer to walk from the Salem station, exit the station and head east on Washington Street. Walk approximately 0.5 miles until you reach Chestnut Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Street, and you will find the Phillips House at 34 Chestnut St on your right.
