    Walking

    Start at the Lowell City Hall located at 375 Merrimack Street. Head southeast on Merrimack Street toward Central Street. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach Central Street. Turn left onto Central Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Father Morissette Boulevard. Cross the street and continue onto the Merrimack Riverwalk. Follow the Riverwalk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Dutton Street. Turn right onto Dutton Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Market Street. Turn left onto Market Street and continue walking for another 0.4 miles until you see the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center on your right. From here, you can catch a bus to Boston or take a train from the Lowell Station to South Station in Boston. Once you arrive at South Station, transfer to the MBTA Orange Line toward Oak Grove and get off at Haymarket Station. From Haymarket, walk about 0.5 miles to Symphony Hall located at 301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115.

    Public Transportation

    From the Lowell City Hall located at 375 Merrimack Street, walk to the nearest bus stop at Merrimack Street and Central Street. Take the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) bus number 1 heading to the Lowell Connector. Ride for about 15 minutes until you reach the Gallagher Terminal. From the Gallagher Terminal, transfer to the MBTA Commuter Rail heading toward North Station. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at North Station. Once at North Station, transfer to the Green Line (C or E train) and head toward the Park Street Station. At Park Street Station, transfer to the Red Line toward Alewife and get off at the Downtown Crossing Station. Finally, transfer to the Orange Line toward Oak Grove and get off at Haymarket Station. Walk about 0.5 miles to reach Symphony Hall at 301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
