Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Lowell, head south on Merrimack Street toward the intersection with Dutton Street. Turn left onto Dutton Street and continue until you reach the bus terminal. Take the MBTA bus #69 towards Alewife Station and ride for about 30 minutes. Get off at the North Station stop. From North Station, walk across the Charles River via the Charles River Dam and continue straight to reach the Charlestown Navy Yard. The USS Constitution Museum will be located in Building 22.

    Start at the Lowell Commuter Rail Station. Take the MBTA Commuter Rail train on the Lowell Line towards North Station. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, transfer to the Orange Line subway (Alewife direction) and get off at Haymarket Station. Exit the station and walk towards the Boston City Hall, then take the bus #93 or #111 to the Charlestown Navy Yard. The USS Constitution Museum is in Building 22 in the Navy Yard.
