If you're driving from anywhere in The Islands, head towards the nearest major road that connects to Route 93 North. Follow Route 93 North until you reach the exit for Charlestown. Once you exit, follow signs for Bunker Hill Monument and then take Main Street towards Charlestown Navy Yard. You will find parking options nearby, but be prepared for parking fees which can range from $10 to $20 depending on the duration of your stay.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by locating your nearest bus or ferry stop. You can catch a ferry from locations like Long Wharf or Rowes Wharf to the Charlestown Navy Yard. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the Boston skyline and takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Navy Yard, the USS Constitution is just a short walk from the ferry terminal. If you're taking the subway, head to the Haymarket station and transfer to the Orange Line towards North Station. Get off at the North Station and walk to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which will take approximately 15 minutes.
Walking from Public Transit
If you arrive at the Charlestown Navy Yard via bus or subway, once you exit the bus or train, follow the signs pointing towards the USS Constitution. The walk is scenic, taking you along the waterfront, and will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Look for the large brick building of the Navy Yard, and you will see the USS Constitution docked nearby.
