Start from the downtown area of Lowell. Head east on Merrimack Street towards the intersection with Central Street. Continue straight as Merrimack turns into Dutton Street. After about 0.6 miles, turn left onto the Lowell Connector. Follow the signs for I-495 South, but instead of getting on the highway, keep walking on the path that runs alongside the connector. This path will lead you towards the train station area. Once you reach the train station, look for the nearest bus stop to catch the MBTA bus route that goes to Charlestown.
