Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Lowell, walk to the nearest bus stop at Merrimack Street and Central Street. Take the MBTA bus route 350 towards Alewife. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes. Get off at the Alewife station and transfer to the Red Line train towards Ashmont/Braintree. Ride for about 35 minutes and get off at Park Street Station. Finally, transfer to the Green Line and take the C or D train towards Kenmore. Get off at Copley Station. Copley Square is just a short walk from the station.

• Train

  Walk to the Lowell train station located at 20 Thorndike Street. Take the MBTA commuter rail train on the Lowell Line towards North Station in Boston. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the station and walk to the Haymarket subway station. Take the Green Line towards Copley Station. Copley Square is a short walk from the station.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Lowell. Start at the Tsongas Center and head south on the Merrimack Riverwalk. Follow the path towards the South Common. Once you reach the bridge over the river, cross it and continue on the bike path toward the downtown area. Follow the signs to the Lowell Connector, and then take the bike lane towards the South Station in Boston, which will lead you directly toward Copley Square.

• Walking

  If you're up for a walk, start from the center of Lowell at the City Hall. Head south on Merrimack Street until you reach the intersection with Central Street. Continue straight until you reach the Lowell train station. From there, you can choose to take a train or bus to Boston, or if you prefer, you can walk about 1.5 miles to the nearest bus stop at Merrimack and Central.
