Walking
If you are starting from Vineyard Haven, head east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Beach Road. Turn left onto Beach Road and continue straight for about 1 mile. You will see the entrance to the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest on your right. Enter the forest and follow the main trail for approximately 1.5 miles. The Heath Hen Monument is located near the end of the trail, marked by a sign and a small clearing.

From Oak Bluffs, take the bike path along the waterfront heading towards Vineyard Haven. Continue on the bike path until you reach the intersection with State Road. Turn left onto State Road and follow it until you reach the entrance of the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest. Once inside the forest, there are well-marked bike trails. Follow the main trail for about 2 miles to reach the Heath Hen Monument.

Start at the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal. Catch the Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) bus heading towards the Airport. Ask the driver to let you off at the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest stop. From there, follow the walking trail signs inside the forest for about 1.5 miles to reach the Heath Hen Monument.
