From Vineyard Haven, you can rent a bicycle at one of the local rental shops. Head north on Main Street until you reach Beach Road. Turn left onto Beach Road and continue cycling west for about 1.5 miles. You will come to a fork where Beach Road turns into State Road. Take the right fork onto State Road and continue for another 1.5 miles. Look for the sign for Long Point Beach on your right. Follow the signs to the parking area where you can lock your bike.

Take the VTA (Vineyard Transit Authority) bus from Vineyard Haven. Board the #1 bus towards Oak Bluffs. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at State Road and Long Point Road. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk down Long Point Road (about 0.5 miles) until you arrive at Long Point Beach. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for the latest timings.

If you are in Vineyard Haven and prefer to walk, start from Main Street and head towards Beach Road. Walk along Beach Road, which will take you west out of town. After approximately 1.5 miles, you will reach State Road. Continue straight for another mile until you see the sign for Long Point Beach on your right. Follow the path to the beach entrance. The total walking distance is about 3 miles, so wear comfortable shoes.
