If you're driving, start on Mohawk Trail (Route 2) heading east or west depending on your starting point. Look for the intersection with Route 8 in Charlemont and turn onto Route 8 North. Continue for approximately 6 miles until you reach the junction with Davis Mine Road. Turn right onto Davis Mine Road. The Pelham Lake Park Recreation Area (Davis Mine Loop) will be on your left. There is no parking fee for the recreation area.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Greenfield to Charlemont. From Charlemont, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Davis Mine Road. Keep in mind that public transportation may have limited schedules, so check the local bus timetable ahead of your trip. The taxi fare from Charlemont to the recreation area should be confirmed with the driver before departure. Expect a fare of approximately $20-$30 for this service.
