Breathtaking Views from Poet's Seat Tower

Getting There

• Car

  From the main entrance of Mohawk Trail State Forest, head southeast on Route 2. Continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Main Street in Greenfield. Turn right onto Main Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with High Street. Turn left onto High Street, which will lead you directly to Poet's Seat Tower. There is a small parking area available near the tower.

• Public Transportation

  Take the Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) bus service from the nearest bus stop in Mohawk Trail State Forest to Greenfield. Once you arrive in Greenfield, disembark at the Main Street stop. From there, you can either walk or take a local taxi service to Poet's Seat Tower, which is approximately a 1-mile walk. To walk, head south on Main Street, turn left on High Street, and follow the signs to Poet's Seat Tower. Be prepared for a bit of an uphill walk.

• Biking

  If you're an avid cyclist, consider biking to Poet's Seat Tower. Starting from the Mohawk Trail State Forest, take Route 2 west toward Greenfield. You can bike along the scenic route, which is approximately 2.5 miles. Once you reach Greenfield, exit onto Main Street, then continue to High Street, where you'll find signs directing you to Poet's Seat Tower. Be cautious of vehicle traffic, especially along Route 2.
