Car
If you are driving from any location within the Mohawk Trail State Forest, make your way to Route 2. Head east on Route 2 until you reach the junction with Route 8. Turn left onto Route 8 South and continue for approximately 10 miles. Once you reach Dalton, take a right onto Wahconah Falls Road. Follow Wahconah Falls Road for about 1.5 miles, and you will find Wahconah Falls State Park on your left at 68 Wahconah Falls Rd, Dalton, MA 01226. There are no entrance fees required, and ample parking is available at the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Wahconah Falls State Park using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus to Pittsfield, MA. Check the schedule for the Peter Pan Bus Lines or the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) for routes that operate from nearby towns. Once in Pittsfield, you can transfer to a BRTA bus heading toward Dalton. The closest bus stop is near the intersection of North Street and Wahconah Falls Road. From there, you would need to walk approximately 1 mile down Wahconah Falls Road to reach the park. Note that public transit schedules may vary, so be sure to check ahead for routes and times.
