Car
From Mount Greylock State Reservation, head southeast on Mt Greylock Rd toward MA-43. Continue for about 8 miles, following signs for MA-43. Turn left onto MA-43 S and continue for another 6 miles. Merge onto I-90 E and follow signs for I-90 E. Take exit 2 for MA-2 W toward Williamstown. Merge onto MA-2 W and follow for approximately 14 miles. Take the exit toward Charlemont and continue on Cold River Rd for about 2 miles to reach Mohawk Trail State Forest at Cold River Rd, Charlemont, MA 01339.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service from Mount Greylock State Reservation to North Adams. From North Adams, transfer to the regional bus service that heads towards Charlemont. The bus service may have limited schedules, so be sure to check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive in Charlemont, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service for the remaining 3 miles to Mohawk Trail State Forest, as the bus does not go directly to the park.
