Walking
If you're starting from the Whaling Museum in downtown Nantucket, head northwest on Broad Street toward Main Street. Continue straight onto Main Street, which will turn into a residential area. Keep walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Orange Street. Turn left onto Orange Street and walk for about 0.3 miles. At the end of Orange Street, turn right onto Madaket Road. Follow Madaket Road for approximately 1.5 miles, and then keep an eye out for Dionis Beach on your right. It's a little set back from the road, so look for the entrance which has a sign.
Biking
Starting from the Nantucket Bike Shop, head south on Washington Street for a few blocks until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue straight. After about 1 mile, you will see the sign for Dionis Beach on your left as you approach the Madaket Road intersection. Cross the road carefully and take the path that leads directly to the beach.
Public Transportation
Board the 'Dionis Beach Shuttle' at the Nantucket Town Shuttle Stop located near the Whaling Museum. The shuttle operates seasonally, so check the schedule for the latest updates. Stay on the shuttle as it makes its way through the town and heads towards Madaket Road. The shuttle will provide a direct stop at Dionis Beach. Once you arrive, follow the walkway from the bus stop to the beach entrance.
