    Getting There

    Bus

    From New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop on Union Street. Take the Peter Pan Bus Line towards Newport. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Newport, get off at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, you can catch the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Bus #60 towards Middletown. Ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach Bellevue Avenue. After getting off, Marble House is a short 10-minute walk straight ahead on Bellevue Avenue.

    Train

    Head to the New Bedford train station located on 70 North Front Street. Take the MBTA commuter rail towards Boston and transfer at South Station. From South Station, take the Amtrak Northeast Regional or Acela Express to Providence. Once in Providence, transfer to the RIPTA Bus #60 towards Newport. Get off at Bellevue Avenue. Marble House will be a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in New Bedford and take the East Bay Bike Path. Follow the path which leads you along the waterfront towards Bristol and then to Newport. The bike ride is approximately 17 miles and will take about 2 hours. Once you reach Newport, follow the signs to Bellevue Avenue, and Marble House will be on your left-hand side.

    Walking

    If you're looking for a scenic route, start walking from the center of New Bedford towards the waterfront. Head to the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. From there, take a connecting ferry to Newport. After arriving in Newport, walk to Bellevue Avenue, which is approximately 1.5 miles from the ferry terminal. Follow Bellevue Avenue until you reach Marble House at 596 Bellevue Ave.
