    From downtown New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop on Union Street. Take the GATRA Bus Route 1 towards 'Chilmark'. The bus will take you to the ferry terminal in Woods Hole. From there, take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Once you arrive, catch the VTA Bus Route 6 towards 'Chilmark'. Get off at the stop nearest to Menemsha Beach, which is along Basin Rd. After disembarking, walk a short distance down Basin Rd to reach the beach.

    Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in New Bedford. Start your ride heading north on Route 18 until you reach the intersection with Route 28. Follow Route 28 towards the west. Continue on this route until you reach the ferry terminal at Woods Hole. Take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Once you arrive, navigate to the VTA Bus Route 6 and board the bus towards 'Chilmark'. Get off at the stop closest to Menemsha Beach, and then walk to the beach along Basin Rd.
