    From New Bedford, head to the nearest bus terminal, which is located at 134 Elm Street. You can take the Peter Pan Bus Lines that offers service to Plymouth. Look for the bus route that heads towards Boston, as it will stop in Plymouth. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Plymouth, disembark at the Plymouth Bus Terminal.

  • Train and Bus

    Start at the New Bedford train station located at 134 Union Street. Take the MBTA commuter rail from New Bedford to Bridgewater. After arriving at Bridgewater, transfer to the Plymouth & Brockton bus service. The bus will take you directly to Plymouth. The total travel time, including transfers, will be around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Plymouth, you can walk to Plimoth Grist Mill from the bus stop.

  • Walking

    If you are near the waterfront area of New Bedford, you can walk towards the downtown area to the New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. From there, head east on Johnny Cake Hill, then turn right onto Purchase Street and continue to the bus terminal to catch the Peter Pan Bus to Plymouth as described above.
