Public Bus
From downtown New Bedford, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the GATRA bus heading towards Plymouth. Make sure to check the schedule, as buses may not run frequently. Once you board, stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. The bus will take you to the Plymouth area. Get off at the stop closest to the Plimoth Patuxet Museums, which is located at 137 Warren Ave. From the bus stop, walk a short distance following the signs to the museum.
Bike Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in New Bedford. Once you have your bike, head towards the south on Route 18 until you reach the junction with Route 3. Follow Route 3 northbound towards Plymouth, which is about 12 miles away. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Plymouth, navigate to Warren Ave, where the Plimoth Patuxet Museums are located at 137 Warren Ave.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk, you can start from downtown New Bedford and make your way towards the waterfront. Follow the coastline along the New Bedford Harbor, then head north to Route 3. This is a lengthy walk, about 12 miles, and will take approximately 3-4 hours. Once you reach Plymouth, ask locals for directions to Warren Ave, where the Plimoth Patuxet Museums are located at 137 Warren Ave.
