    If you're starting at the New Bedford Whaling Museum (18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA 02740), head south on Johnny Cake Hill. Continue onto Pleasant St. and follow it for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Turn right onto Route 6 (also known as Acushnet Ave). Walk along Acushnet Ave for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Acushnet Cedar Swamp State Reservation on your left side.

    From downtown New Bedford, walk to the nearest bus stop at 200 North Front St. Board the 'NB Regional Bus' towards Acushnet. Ride the bus for approximately 25 minutes and get off at the 'Acushnet Ave at Cedar Swamp' stop. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles down Acushnet Ave, and the entrance to the Acushnet Cedar Swamp State Reservation will be on your left.
