    Car

    If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-95 N from your current location in Norfolk County. Follow I-95 N for approximately 15 miles until you reach the exit for I-93 N toward Boston. Merge onto I-93 N and continue for about 7 miles. Take exit 26 for Storrow Drive toward Cambridge. After exiting, keep left to continue on Storrow Drive. Follow Storrow Drive for about 2 miles, then take the exit toward Alewife. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Fresh Pond Parkway. Continue onto Fresh Pond Parkway until you reach the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue. Turn right onto Massachusetts Avenue. Cambridge Common will be on your right at the intersection of Waterhouse Street and Massachusetts Avenue.

    Public Transportation

    For public transportation, start by finding the nearest MBTA station in Norfolk County. Take the MBTA commuter rail to South Station. From South Station, transfer to the Red Line subway towards Alewife. Ride the subway for about 5 stops and get off at Alewife Station. From Alewife, take the 47 bus towards Alewife and get off at the stop at Massachusetts Avenue and Waterhouse Street. Cambridge Common will be just a short walk across the street.
