    If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-93 N from your location in Norfolk County. Follow I-93 N for about 10 miles, then take exit 26 for I-90 E toward Logan Airport. Stay on I-90 E for approximately 3 miles and take exit 25A to merge onto MA-1A N. This will lead you towards Winthrop. Continue on MA-1A N for about 4 miles. Once you reach Winthrop, look for signs directing you to Tafts Ave. Turn left onto Tafts Ave, and you will find Deer Island at the end of the road.

    To reach Deer Island using public transportation, first, head to the nearest MBTA station in Norfolk County. Take the Orange Line towards North Station. At North Station, transfer to the Blue Line towards Wonderland. Get off at the Maverick station and exit the station. From there, walk to the nearby Maverick Ferry Terminal. Catch the ferry that goes directly to Deer Island. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the harbor and will take you directly to the island.
