Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to the Custom House Maritime Museum, start by navigating to Newburyport, MA. Enter '25 Water St, Newburyport, MA 01950' in your GPS. From major routes like I-95, take Exit 57 for MA-113 toward Newburyport. Follow MA-113 and signs for Newburyport. Once in the downtown area, look for Water Street. The museum is located directly on Water Street, and there is limited street parking available nearby. Be mindful of parking meters which may incur costs.

  For those using public transportation, take the MBTA commuter rail to the Newburyport station on the Haverhill Line. Once you arrive at Newburyport Station, exit the station and head towards Merrimac Street. You can either walk (approximately 1 mile, about 20 minutes) or take a local taxi or rideshare service. If walking, continue down Merrimac Street until you reach Water Street, then turn left to find the Custom House Maritime Museum at 25 Water St.
