Public Transit - Subway
From Quincy, head to the Quincy Center Station. You can take the Braintree branch of the Red Line subway. Board the train towards Alewife and enjoy the ride. After approximately 20 minutes, you will arrive at the South Station in Boston. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the Silver Line bus terminal. Board the Silver Line bus towards the Seaport World Trade Center. Get off at the Theater District stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the Boston Theater District.
Public Transit - Bus
If you prefer, you can take the bus from Quincy. Catch the 238 bus from Quincy Center towards Ashmont Station. Transfer to the 215 bus at the Braintree stop, which will take you to the Alewife station. From Alewife, board the Red Line subway towards Ashmont. Alight at South Station, and from there, catch the Silver Line bus towards the Seaport World Trade Center. Get off at the Theater District stop, and you will be close to the Boston Theater District.
Walking
If you are in Quincy Center, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Head north on Hancock Street, then turn right onto Quincy Shore Drive. Continue walking until you reach the Quincy Bay. From there, follow the waterfront pathway, which will lead you towards the Quincy T Station. Once at the station, you can catch a subway or bus to the Boston Theater District as described in the previous options.
