Public Transit - Subway
To get to Downtown Crossing from anywhere in Quincy, start by heading to the Quincy Center Station. You can take a bus or walk to the station if you're nearby. Once at Quincy Center, board the Braintree branch of the Red Line train towards Alewife. Stay on the train for approximately 15 minutes. You will pass several stops, including Wollaston and North Quincy. Get off at the Downtown Crossing station. After exiting the train, follow the signs to the street level where you will find yourself in the heart of Downtown Crossing.
Public Transit - Bus
If you're closer to a bus stop in Quincy, you can take the #210 bus towards Ashmont Station. This bus will take you to the Ashmont Station, where you can transfer to the Red Line subway. Take the train towards Alewife and get off at Downtown Crossing. The bus ride will be about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic, and the subway ride will take another 15 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in Quincy Center, you can also choose to walk to Downtown Crossing, but it is quite a distance (about 9 miles). If you're up for it, head northwest on Hancock Street, continue onto Washington Street, and follow the signs toward Boston. This walk will take approximately 3-4 hours, so be prepared with comfortable shoes and water.
