From Government Center, walk to Haymarket Station and take the Orange Line train towards Oak Grove for 3 stops until you reach North Station. At North Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby North Station bus terminal. Catch the 450 bus towards Salem, which will take you directly to Salem. Get off the bus at the Salem Common stop. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Gedney House located at 21 High Street.

Follow Hancock Street towards the north, which will lead you to the Quincy Bay. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the North Quincy MBTA Station. From here, take the train towards Ashmont and transfer to the Red Line at the next station. Follow the instructions for public transit from this point.
