Bus
From your location in Quincy, walk to the nearest bus stop that services the MBTA bus routes. You can take the 210, 211, or 212 bus to the Braintree station, which is the closest to the Red Line subway. Once you arrive at Braintree, transfer to the Red Line towards Alewife. Stay on the train for about 30-35 minutes, and get off at the Alewife station. From Alewife, transfer to the Alewife bus (Route 67) that will take you directly to the Harvard Art Museums. The museum is located at 32 Quincy St, Cambridge, MA 02138.
Train
Head to the nearest MBTA train station in Quincy, such as Quincy Center or Quincy Adams. Take the Braintree branch of the Red Line towards Alewife. After about 25-30 minutes, you will arrive at the Alewife station. From there, walk towards the bus terminal and board the 47 bus towards Alewife. The bus will take you to the vicinity of Harvard Art Museums, located at 32 Quincy St, Cambridge, MA 02138. It’s a short walk from the bus stop to the museum.
Walking and Bus
If you prefer walking, you can stroll to the nearest bus stop and take the 210 bus to Braintree station. From Braintree, transfer to the Red Line subway towards Alewife. After about a 30-minute ride, get off at Alewife station. From there, you can walk about 15 minutes to the Harvard Art Museums, located at 32 Quincy St, Cambridge, MA 02138. Follow the signs for Alewife bus terminal and take the 47 bus if you prefer not to walk the entire distance.
