Car
If you are driving from the center of Salem, start by heading southwest on Washington St toward Lafayette St. Continue on Washington St until you reach the intersection with Route 1A. Merge onto Route 1A South (also known as North Shore Rd). Follow Route 1A for approximately 15 miles until you reach the junction for I-93 South. Merge onto I-93 South and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 20 toward Mass Ave and merge onto Massachusetts Ave. Continue on Massachusetts Ave for about 1 mile, and you will find Symphony Hall located at 301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115 on your right.
Public Transportation
Begin your journey at the Salem MBTA train station located at 2 New Derby St. Take the MBTA commuter rail from Salem Station to North Station in Boston. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the station and walk to the Haymarket Station on the Green Line. Take the Green Line (B or C train) inbound towards Government Center. At the Copley Station, transfer to the Orange Line towards Oak Grove. Get off at Haymarket and transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont. Disembark at the Park Street Station and follow signs to the Boylston Street exit. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles to Symphony Hall at 301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
