If you're driving, start from the center of Salem at the Salem Common. Head northeast on Washington St toward Essex St, then turn left onto Essex St. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. Turn right on Derby St, and follow it to the end where you will find Derby Wharf. There is limited parking available near the entrance to the wharf. Be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around $1.00 to $3.00 per hour.
Public Transportation - Bus
From the Salem train station, take the MBTA bus route 450 or 451 towards Lynn. Get off at the 'Salem Maritime' stop, which is very close to the entrance of Derby Wharf. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the waterfront and follow Derby St to the end of the wharf. The bus fare is approximately $1.70, and you can pay with cash or a CharlieCard.
Walking
If you're staying in the downtown area of Salem, you can easily walk to Derby Wharf.
