From Gloucester, head to the Gloucester MBTA Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Board the MBTA commuter rail towards North Station. Once you arrive at North Station, exit the train and follow the signs to the Haymarket bus station. Here, you can catch the MBTA Bus #504 towards 'South Station'. Get off at the 'South Station' stop. From South Station, it's a short walk to Boston Wharf Rd. Head east on Summer St toward Atlantic Ave, then turn right onto Atlantic Ave. Finally, turn left onto Boston Wharf Rd to reach the Boston Harborwalk.

If you're staying downtown in Gloucester, you can explore the area by walking to the Gloucester MBTA Station at 2 Railroad Ave. From there, take the train to North Station.
