Car

If you're driving, begin by navigating to I-93 N. From there, take exit 20 for I-90 E toward Logan Airport. Merge onto I-90 E, and take exit 25 toward Seaport Blvd. Follow the signs for Seaport Blvd and continue straight. Turn left onto Marina Park Drive. The Boston Waterfront will be on your left at 1 Marina Park Drive, Boston, MA 02210. Note that parking in the area may cost between $10 to $30, depending on the lot.

Public Transportation - Subway

To reach the Boston Waterfront by public transportation, take the MBTA subway. If you are near any Red Line station, board a train towards Ashmont/Braintree and transfer at Park Street to the Green Line. Take the Green Line (C or D branch) towards Government Center and get off at the South Station stop. From South Station, you can walk approximately 15 minutes to the waterfront. Alternatively, you can take the Silver Line (SL1 or SL2) from South Station directly to the waterfront area. The subway fare is $2.40, and the Silver Line is free for the first part of the journey.

Public Transportation - Bus

If you prefer to take a bus, check for any local bus routes that serve the area. The MBTA’s bus routes 9 and 11 provide service to the South Boston area. You can catch these buses from various locations in Suffolk County. After boarding, ensure to stay on until you reach the stop closest to the waterfront, which may require a short walk. The bus fare is also $2.40.

Walking

If you're already in downtown Boston or the South End, you can walk to the Boston Waterfront. From the Boston Common, head southeast on Tremont St toward Boylston St, turn right onto Boylston St, and continue onto Atlantic Ave. Follow Atlantic Ave until you reach the waterfront. This walk takes approximately 20-30 minutes and provides a great opportunity to see the city.
