Public Transit
From Waltham, head to the nearest bus stop that services the MBTA. You can catch the 70 or 70A bus towards Alewife. Stay on the bus for about 20-25 minutes until you reach Alewife Station. From there, transfer to the Alewife subway line (Red Line) and head towards Ashmont/Braintree. After approximately 10 stops, disembark at Kendall/MIT Station. Upon exiting the station, follow signs to Kendall Square, and you will find yourself in the vibrant area of Kendall Square in Cambridge.

If you're in central Waltham, you can walk to Kendall Square by heading southeast on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Moody Street. Turn left onto Moody Street and continue walking until you reach the Waltham Common. From the Common, head towards the Charles River and follow the path along the river until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge into Cambridge. Once you are in Cambridge, turn right on Binney Street and continue straight to reach Kendall Square.

For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program in Waltham. Start at Waltham Common, and take the bike path along the Charles River. Follow the path for about 2.5 miles until you reach the Alewife Reservation. From there, continue towards the Alewife subway station area and ride along Fresh Pond Parkway towards Kendall Square. You will find bike racks available in the Kendall Square area.
